Big (1988)

The Big ‘cast awaits you! (42:52) Rated R for a few instances of wordy badness.

Big

The Next 100 Project is back in the modern era with the one that cinched Tom Hanks’ status as a bonafide movie star. There’a an awful lot of pathos in what is absolutely a funny movie, but that pathos is probably what’s given the flick its longevity. After you go over to SparkplugCoffee.com to get some beans, then you can settle in for some Big!

NOTE: Bev points out that Randa Haines directed Children Of A Lesser God, which was nominated for AFI’s 1998 Top 100. Ryan overlooked Haines in the Wrap-Up podcast as a woman director. Oops. Don’t know a lot of ladies named Randa, do you?
