Before last night, I hadn’t watched RWAC since 2001, and I found the acting a lot better and less hokey this time than I remembered. I will say that Dean at times REALLY sounded like he was doing his best Brando impression. And despite not having been a teen for many, many years, I still enjoy most of my old favourite high-school movies as much as I ever have (especially ‘The Breakfast Club!). ‘Blackboard Jungle’ is pretty high on my to-see list.
Doing Brando: like everybody was doing in those days. Then again, Bev pointed out that Brando was just the best and most famous proprietor of the Method.
