Double Indemnity

Our 32nd Top 100 podcast is this brilliant noir about lust and insurance scams! Did it live up to Ryan’s hype in previous podcasts? Did we like Fred MacMurray in the lead and Edward G. Robinson (nyah!) in a supporting role? Plus, is Barbara Stanwyck the devil? Answers are a tap of the button away.

  1. The dialogue, especially the banter between Phyllis and Neff, is what really drew me into this one. Watching Keyes piece it all together was fun, too, and the pacing and tension were razor-sharp. Seeing this made me want to see more Billy Wilder flicks and more film noir. And nice-guy McMurray was also enjoyably sleazy in ‘The Apartment.’

So, Bev, when we said you were in for a treat with this one, how right were we? 😉
