Saddle up dem horses and hit the trails as the Top 100 Project brings you podcast #19! What did Bev think of her first John Wayne movie? Whom did one executive want to play the Ringo Kid instead of the Duke? And did we dare to compare Stagecoach to Gilligan’s Island? All that and, oh, 3 or more points of interest are contained within.

I also have yet to see my first Ford/Wayne western. My favourite of the handful of westerns I’ve seen (unless you count ‘Back to the Future Part III,’ which I hesitate to) is probably ‘Unforgiven.’ ‘One-Eyed Jacks’ was good too, certainly underrated.
Then you’re to put on your cowboy hat and start peeking at some oaters! Even though we won’t cover it for many months yet, the best Ford/Wayne western is The Searchers.
