Kramer vs. Kramer (1979)

It’s a Kramer Vs. Kramer ‘cast! (38:40) Rated R for some good ol’ swearing.

Kramer vs. Kramer

A month ahead of another “vs.” movie (with the bitter bat and the arrogant alien), KvK is about as grounded & real as a blockbusting Oscar-winner can get. Dustin Hoffman & Meryl Streep are brilliant as the title characters. This is a very sympathetic movie with a half-dozen perfect, deeply moving scenes. For The Record: Melvyn Douglas was not the oldest winner of the Supporting Actor Oscar when he won for Being There (George Burns was) and both have since been surpassed by Christopher Plummer.
