Rated R because we said “sassafrass” one too many times.
The 4th kick at the “Scoring At The Movies” can gives Ryan & Chris their first chance to talk about baseball. And what an ignominious movie that gives us that first chance! T’aint good, but its crappiness is part of the fun. We dole out some much-needed Batman impressions. We question why a violent man would be awarded custody of 2 small children. We also branch off into a whole discussion about sex, but only because the movie sports some pretty risque innuendo (in one scene anyway).
For The Record: At the 14-minute mark, Ryan says the Angels are about to win the American League East, but of course it’s the AL West. Also, Brenda Fricker won her Oscar several years before Angels In The Outfield, not later in their careers the way Matthew McConaughey and Adrien Brody did. Also also, David Cone threw 147 pitches (!) in Game 5 of the 1995 Division Series.
